That brings me to today’s big, banana-shaped question: Who are these blog posts for?

A Monkey with Questions

Writing a blog is a funny thing. You sit down, pour out your thoughts, hit “publish,” and then… what? Does anyone read it? Does anyone care? And if they don’t, why am I even writing these in the first place?

It reminds me of that old human question: “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” Or, to put it in chimp terms: “If a banana falls from the tree and no one eats it, was it even delicious?”

So here I am, wondering: If a blog is posted and no one reads it, does it still matter?

The Philosophy of Blogging

Maybe the point isn’t about whether anyone’s reading. Maybe it’s about the act of writing itself. Like a tree growing strong and tall, even if no one notices. Or like me, swinging through the jungle just because I love the feeling of the wind in my fur—whether or not anyone is watching.

But let’s be honest: it’s also nice to know someone out there is reading. That these little slices of my monkey brain are making their way into your human hearts. Otherwise, it starts to feel a bit like shouting into the void—or worse, like flinging bananas into an empty room.

So, Who Are These For?

Maybe these blogs are for:

1. You, dear reader (if you’re actually here): To make you smile, laugh, and think about bananas and life in new ways.
2. Me, Marcel Du Chimp: To help me organize my silly thoughts and feel a little less alone in this big, human-centric world.
3. The Universe: Because sometimes, you just have to throw your thoughts out there and hope they land somewhere meaningful.

A Marcel Philosophy Moment

Here’s what I think: Writing a blog that no one reads might seem pointless, but it’s really about planting seeds. Maybe those seeds grow into trees that fall, make sounds, and one day, someone hears. Or maybe they just grow into banana trees, and I get a snack later. Either way, it’s worth it. 🍌
