Guess what I just saw? The Wicked movie! Yes, the long-awaited, much-anticipated, super-magical adaptation of the Broadway blockbuster. And let me tell you, it was absolutely wicked (in the best possible way).

Flashback to Broadway

This movie brought back so many memories. I actually saw the musical back in the day, before it even won the Tony! Scored some tickets from TKTS and thought, "Why not?" Little did I know, I was about to witness the start of something legendary. Fast forward to now, and seeing it on the big screen was like reliving that first awe-inspiring experience all over again—only bigger, brighter, and with surround sound!

Flying Monkeys = Marcel Vibes

Let’s talk about the flying monkey transformation scene. Wow. Just WOW. As a chimp, let me tell you, my back actually tingled watching it. The visuals, the emotions, the wings—it was almost like looking at an alternate-universe version of myself after too many T-H-Chocolates!

Where’s "Wonderful"?

Now, here’s my one tiny gripe: they cut the wizard’s song “Wonderful.” I was sitting there waiting for it, and… nothing. But then I heard they’re saving it for Part 2, and okay, I can live with that. It just gives me another reason to count down the days until the next movie!

A Musical Movie Masterpiece

Overall, this is probably the best adaptation of a musical to the big screen since “The Producers.” The performances were incredible, the visuals stunning, and the score? Orchestrated to absolute perfection. It’s rare for a movie to capture the magic of live theatre and then blow it up to cinematic proportions, but this one did it—and then some!

Counting Down to Part 2

Now I’m even more hyped for Part 2. If they can deliver this much magic in one movie, imagine what’s coming next! Until then, I think I’ll rewatch this one a few more times, just to soak in every last drop of wickedness.
