Marcel Du Chimp’s Blog Post #14: 🎥 My First Music Video! 🎄🍌

Hello, my human-peoples! 🐾✨ Big news from the digital jungle—I’ve just unleashed my very first music video to promote my debut album, AX – Artificial Xmas, and it’s live on YouTube! 🎥🎶

    👉 Watch it here!

This isn’t just a video; it’s a leap into epicness. Inspired by the legendary tales of the Monkey King (孙悟空), I channeled that mischievous, rebellious spirit to bring this project to life. Sure, I’m technically a chimp, not a monkey, but hey—don’t we all feel like a bit of a rule-breaking trickster sometimes? 🐒✨

    Look Out For Easter-eggs!

The video is a playful, festive romp through some of the standout tracks on Artificial Xmas, watch closely for the easter egg referencing Terminator 2! Or course, the track is based on a famous rhythmic groove from the theme song of the Chinese Monkey King TV show from the 1980s. For the few of you who know the show, I'm sure you'll recognize it… for those who don't know the TV show, maybe you'll recognize it from the recent game “black myth wukong”…

The Monkey King had his Ruyi Jingu Bang, a magical staff that could change size and sweep away his enemies. I’ve got my music—and it’s just as powerful in cutting through digital illusions. 🎶💥

    The Video’s Message

In true Monkey King fashion, this video is about more than just swinging through the holiday season. It’s a journey through the glitter and chaos, showing how easy it is to get lost in digital distractions—but also how music, humor, and a little bit of monkey mischief can bring us back to what really matters.

    You’ll see snippets of:
🌟 Social media madness, holiday shopping frenzies, and the endless quest for likes and views.
🌴 A nod to my roots—swinging through the urban jungle of Toronto, yet always with one eye on the legends of old.

It’s a reminder that while we live in a world of digital glitter, the heart of the holidays is something deeper.

    Why It Feels Personal

Much like the Monkey King, I’m on a journey—not just to entertain, but to challenge the way we see the world. This music video is a big step in that adventure. From Toronto’s Chinatown to Swedish radio, Brazilian playlists, and even WeChat in China, Artificial Xmas is proof that a little monkey magic can go a long way.

And while the Monkey King used his fiery 火眼金睛 (Flaming Eyes of Truth) to see through illusions, I use music. Different tools, same mission.

    Join the Journey

So, my human-peoples, what are you waiting for? Watch the video, groove to the beats, and let me know if it gives you that mischievous, swinging, Monkey-King energy. 🎄🐒✨

👉 Watch the Music Video Now!

Thank you for joining me on this wild adventure. Let’s swing into the holiday season together—with laughs, beats, and maybe a little bit of rebellion against the glittery chaos. 🍌✨

Yours in music, monkey magic, and bananas,
    Marcel Du Chimp 🐒🎶
