Ooo-ooo, my human-peoples… I have returned from the underworld of sickness! 🫠❄️ After spending a week sick as a dog (or should I say, sick as a chimp with the Canadian winter flu?), I am finally regaining consciousness. And let me tell you—it was NOT pretty.
You ever go from soaking up California sunshine to being body-slammed by an arctic blizzard? Yeah, apparently, my immune system didn’t get the memo, because Toronto’s snowy wrath took me DOWN. One minute, I was feeling fine, the next—I was curled up in a feverish banana-scented delirium, questioning my very existence. 🌨️🛌🍌
The Fever Dream Loop of Doom 🌀😵🎵
Now, let’s talk fever dreams. You ever get those? That state of being half-awake, half-asleep, totally confused, and convinced reality is just a badly written sit-com? Yeah, that was me, but with an EXTRA fun twist:

And not just any soundtrack—no, no, my brain decided to loop one song over and over and over again…

Oh yeah. THAT’S what my subconscious chose to torment me with. Not Mozart, not Mahler, not Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga or something with Frank Sinatra or something uplifting—nope, just a relentless bluesy jam about… well, you get the idea.
And the worst part? THE DREAM WAS IN A LOOP TOO.
Imagine this:
- I’m walking by a dimly lit diner. ☕
- There’s a jukebox in side. 🎶
- Some shadowy figure walks in, slams a coin into the machine… and BAM—“Diarrhea Blues” starts playing.
- I walk further and further away from it…
- but in the next block, I walk by the same diner!
- The song starts over.
- The scene repeats.
- I wake up.
- I fall back asleep.
- IT KEEPS HAPPENING.
Surviving the Cold… Barely. ❄️😰
I’m telling you, if Canadian winters have a sense of humour, this was it. You have too much fun in California? BOOM—instant punishment. You think you can just fly off to LA, prance around in warm weather, sip fancy oat milk lattes, and NOT pay the price?? THINK AGAIN, CHIMP.
So, after what felt like a century in a feverish time loop, I finally clawed my way back to reality. And now? I’m just sitting here, staring out the window, watching the snow fall, contemplating my newfound respect for the simple joy of breathing through one of my nostrils.
Lessons Learned:
1️⃣ Never underestimate the Canadian winter. ❄️
2️⃣ Fever dreams are portals to an alternate reality where jukeboxes are evil. 🎵👀
