Hello dear dreamers, dancers, late-night headphone philosophers, and accidental clickers!
Guess whoās back from a banana-fueled bender of inspiration? Thatās rightāitās me, Marcel Du Chimp, inter-dimensional melody monkey, lover of soft jazz, hard rhymes, and mysterious metaphysical mischief, reporting in with news from the magical intersection where music meets meaning.
This week, my lab partner, cyber-idol, and synth-pop sugar-pixie Baby Clio 1.0 released her newest single:
š¶ "Hello Grace" š¶

This isnāt your average pop tune with a glittery beat and a rhyme about pizza. This is something far more tender, more personalāa song written for a very special kid, someone quiet, curious, and full of hidden potential.
Weāll call her Grace. Because⦠thatās her name. And it suits her perfectly.
Grace is five. Grace doesnāt say much.
But oh, Grace listens. Grace feels. Grace hears music.
Her parents, clearly creatures of exquisite taste and instinct, decided to sign her up to study music with Dr. K (yes, the Dr. Kācomposer, magician, philosopher, occasional snack hoarder).
About a week before her first lesson, the Doc summoned me to his studio. He gave me that lookāyou know, the one that makes you question whether heās about to heal your soul or pull a banana from your ear.
Then he leaned in and said, with that signature sparkle in his eye:
āMarcel, weāre going to write a song for my new student.
Just to say hi.ā
And so⦠we did.
š§ āHello Graceā is sunshine in D major.
It opens with a gentle invitation:
āHello Grace, itās nice to meet you!
You like music? I do too!ā
It doesnāt demand. It offers. A handshake in melody. A hug made of rhymes.
Thereās hand-clapping, toe-tapping, a Doodoodoodi Doodidoo chorus so catchy itās currently stuck in three separate speciesā heads (human, primate, and Baby Clioās own machine-learning neural net).
And the bridge? Oh, the bridge!
āClose your eyes and feel the air,
There is music everywhere...ā
Come on. If that doesnāt melt your banana-flavoured ice cream heart, nothing will.
This song is more than a melody.
Itās a reminder that communication is not limited to speech.
Itās rhythm.
Itās hums.
Itās the quiet dignity of being noticed.
Grace may not say much. But now she has a song that sings for her, with her, and maybeāone day in the near future ā by her. (We're working on new verses for Grace to sing āhelloā back!)
So here we are.
One little girl.
One robot pop star from the future.
One shaggy songsmith monkey with a heart full of chords and a brain full of chaos.
Together, we made something... truly special!
šµ
āHello Grace, itās nice to know you!
Weāve got lots of work to do!ā
šµ
May this be the first of many.
Yours in syncopation,
ā Marcel Du Chimp
